The Bulls Daisies – 2023 SA Rugby Women’s Premier Division champions – are set to defend their crown wearing an iconic, versatile and bold Puma-produced jersey that celebrates the fans, culture, gees, legends and future stars behind the badge in the Capital of Rugby.
The Tshwane-based ladies will have two jerseys for the coming season, a white jersey for all home games and the traditional blue for away matches.
At the launch of the jersey, BBCo Chief Executive, Edgar Rathbone said: “Our jersey speaks to ingenuity and pride, which are traits that we associate ourselves with as a franchise and a people with a common passion for the game,”
“We wanted to have a jersey that stands out and keeps us connected no matter where we go and Puma captured that perfectly with an ever-present Bulls ambigram that celebrates our DNA across all corners of our communities.”
Rathbone added: “The Daisies have been a great addition to our family and they have gone on to do something special and historic in the Women’s competition and this jersey is a special celebration to them. It is an iconic fit for a group of history-defining players.”
The new Puma jersey has a BULLS print which appears as an all-over ambigram graphic on the blue kit, which pays homage to our supporters who come from all corners of the country and globe, whilst the white jersey has an abstract blue Barberton daisy graphic across the shoulders and chest. A tribute to the roots and rich history of the franchise.
“We are into our second decade of producing memorable playing and fan wear with Puma, who are now embarking on this journey of celebrating our backyard, the City of Tshwane and its surrounds whilst taking stock of some of the key landmarks that make this a special place like the official seat of South Africa’s government, the Union Buildings,” concludes Rathbone.
