Q1: How did you get into dancing?
RG: My mom says as soon as I could walk I danced. My grandmother and my mom saw potential and enrolled me in Bharatha Natayam, an Indian classical form of dance which originated in the South of India.
Q2: What style do you enjoy and are there any styles you struggle with?
RG: I love trying out different styles of dance and attending open classes but I really struggle with ballet and contemporary.
Q3: Talk us through your training sessions?
RG: Training with the Vodacom Bulls Babes is the highlight of my week. After my almost two hour drive from work, I make it just in time for warm up/stretching and corner work. The main routine is rehearsed many times with the girls often changing positions. We need to be versatile and know every bit of the routine. Thereafter cool down and a prayer before we leave.
Q4: What does it mean to you when you dance on Loftus Versfeld?
RG: To be a part of the #BullsFamily is such an honour and the most unbelievable experience ever! I was so emotional in the tunnel before my first game. This is the biggest stage I could ever perform on and the energy and excitement from the fans when you walk out from the tunnel is truly amazing.
Q5: What do you do besides from being a Vodacom Bulls Babe?
RG: I’m an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa and I current work in the financial crime department at a bank. I analyse activity to determine if there is any money laundering or terrorist financing occurring.
Q6: Do you believe dance can change the world for the better and if so, why?
RG: Yes, dance can definitely change the world. No matter the circumstances you are in, when you dance you are part of a dance/performance that can transform the audience emotions and thoughts.
