The ABE Midas Naka Bulle lost their SSG Gold Cup, presented by Blu Approved & M4Jam, quarter-final 13-10 against the Hollywoodbets Swallows at the Adelaar Sports Grounds in Pretoria on Saturday, 30 March.
The men from Pretoria led 7-5 at half-time courtesy of a try by outside centre Altus Momsen which was converted by wing Ruaan du Preez. The Hollywoodbets Swallows scored their try through inside centre Sethu Tom.
The visitors put on the after burners when the match resumed as wing Leza Gcilitshane dotted down and flyhalf Aphiwe Stemele kicked a penalty goal.
The Naka Bulle could only score a Du Preez penalty goal and ultimately lost 13-10 to a quality Hollywoodbets Swallows outfit and thus knocked out of South Africa’s premier non-university club competition.
