The Bulls Daisies are raring to welcome the DHL Western Province to the capital for round 13 of the 2023 Women’s Premier Division competition. The Tshwane-based ladies will battle fierce their rivals on Saturday 05 August, on the Loftus B-field, with the main auditorium going under major renovations.
Kik-off for the North-South showdown is set for 14h00pm and entrance is free.
Hayden Groepes, head coach of the Bulls Daisies has tweaked his side from the 23 that travelled to Ceres and this weekend will have a front row featuring Asithandile Ntoyanto (loose-head), Micke Gunter (hooker) and Yonela Ngxingolo (tight-head). Vainah Ubisi is retained at lock and will be paired up with Anathi Qolo on the second row. Captain, Lusanda Dumke starts at blind-side flanker with Rights Mkhari (open-side flanker) swapping spots with Lerato Makua (who will run from the bench). The forceful and potent Sizophila Solontsi returns to starts at eight.
Rumandi Potgieter starts at scrum-half and will pair up with Libbie Janse van Rensburg at fly-half as the two link the brawny forwards pack with the rapid backline that features Patience Mokone (left) and Ayanda Malinga (right) on the wings, whilst Zintle Mpupha (inside) and Jacomina Cilliers (outside) steer the field at centre. Byhandre Dolf moves to fullback this week, providing cover and her accelerated pace on attacking moves.
The side remains unbeaten but assistant coach, Mandisa Williams reiterates that their focus is on the task before them.
“We are not immune to outside noise and we know that is the talk of the town but our focus is on the match before us, everything else we are taking as outside noise. We have worked extremely hard thus far and we must watch not to be complacent or get comfortable, we are only finished when the season ends,”
