The Blue Bulls Company (BBCo.) would like to issue a stern warning to all rugby and sportainment fans against the use of third-party outlets and online websites claiming to be accredited or approved resellers of Vodacom United Rugby Championship, Heineken Champions Cup and Springbok test matches scheduled to take place at Loftus Versfeld.
“We have noted an unprecedented spike in the number of ticketing offers our fans are being presented via multiple unauthorized secondary channels. These platforms have also introduced unapproved price markups for a product they cannot guarantee to the fans,” remarks Stefan van der Merwe, BBCo Chief Commercial Officer.
“We are a brand that is fully dedicated to ensuring that we always offer wholistic experiences around our stadium, supplementing the unmissable great rugby product that is on offer,”
“Over the next couple of months we have incredible rugby battles set for Loftus and to avoid seeing more of these cases where the fans end up disappointed at being turned away at the gates, we urge our supporters to only purchase their tickets through TicketPro and the Vodacom Bulls App,”
Tickets for the Juskei derby on the 4th of March are selling fast whilst tickets for the much anticipated South Africa vs Australia test match went on sale on Wednesday 15 February and to date, over 7000 tickets have been sold, indicating the high demand for these tickets. To avoid disappointment, fans are encouraged to buy these before it is too late.
“We appeal to all rugby fans to rather safeguard their hard-earned money and buy tickets from trusted and approved retailers otherwise there is, unfortunately, no way to guarantee that they will get their tickets and oftentimes, they will not have access to the stadium because the tickets they are issued with do not work on our systems. The other sad reality is how these channels often do not issue refunds, resulting in many fans losing out” he concludes.
