Q1: How did you get into dancing?

GA: My mom always said that I started to dance before I could walk, so as soon as I turned three she enrolled me into ballet classes. At my first class, my ballet teacher couldn’t believe that I hadn’t been to a class before, she told my mom I was a natural… from there I was thrown into every style that was available and fell in love with everything that is Dance! The rest is history.

Q2: What style do you enjoy and are there any styles you struggle with?

GA: I love different elements of every style I’ve ever tried.. I would have to say my most challenging would be hip hop. I started pretty late in life with hip hop, but like all styles I’m always up for the challenge of being the best I can be at it.

Q3: Talk us through your training sessions?

GA: I’m always greeted with hugs and smiles by my fellow teammates! From there we catch up on our week so far while stretching and waiting for Nicola to kick off the night with a warm up. We then move onto our main routine… after perfecting choreography and
doing it 10 million times with lots of laughs in between we end off with a prayer circle, multiple goodbye hugs and love in my heart for my girls, my choreographer and Dance.

Q4: What does it mean to you when you dance on Loftus Versfeld?

GA: I’ve feel like a superhero, the minute my foot touches the field I have an overwhelming sense of happiness, butterflies and empowerment all mashed up into one big ball of awesomeness.

Q5: What do you do besides from being a Vodacom Bulls Babe?

GA: I’m a freelance entertainer, dance teacher and choreographer.

Q6: Do you believe dance can change the world for the better and if so, why?

GA: Yes! 3000x yes!! Dance is a form of art that everyone has the ability to do. All you need is a beat, a little movement and Voilá you’re smiling, having fun and getting a workout in while bonding with family, friends or your multiple personalities. Now to me that sounds like a recipe to change the world for the better.
