The Vodacom Bulls Under-20 side secured a semi-final spot in the SA Rugby Under-20 Championship after ending their round-robin matches on a positive note.

The Wessel du Plessis-coached side travelled to Despatch, in Nelson Mandela Bay, on Friday to take on their Eastern Province counterparts and claimed an emphatic 83-15 win to stay at the top of the log.

The encounter proved to be a try fest as the Vodacom Bulls U20’s, who went into the half-time break leading 38-10, scored a total of 13 tries in the match as the home side responded with two tries of their own in addition to a conversion and a penalty.

The Vodacom Bulls U20’s will enjoy a bye week as the rest of the competing teams battle it out in the last round of matches ahead of the playoffs.
