In the weekend’s SA Rugby Under-20 Cup, the Vodacom Bulls Under-20 side suffered a disappointing and narrow 30-29 defeat against their DHL Western Province counterparts in Cape Town on Saturday.

The Wessel du Plessis-coached side from Tshwane started the match on a high note and showed great intend in the opening 40 minutes of the game.

The early stages of the encounter saw the Vodacom Bulls U20’s scoring three tries, two of which were converted, with the home team only managing one converted try to give the visitors a half-time lead of 7-19.

DHL Western Province U20’s showed resilience in the second half as they clawed their way back into the game to pip the Vodacom Bulls U20’s in the end with a 30-29 victory.
