The Vodacom Bulls still have a lot to play for in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship, believes scrumhalf Zak Burger.
The 23-year-old has been in the thick of the action in the opening two matches of the season where the side has been acclamitising to the new competition and conditions.
“It has been a new experience for a number of the guys,” said Burger.
“We have obviously been disappointed with the results. We also know that as sportsmen, we cannot win every game.”
Despite not getting the desired results so far, the Vodacom Bulls side remains upbeat and optimistic as the season progresses, especially ahead of their next match against Cardiff Rugby.
“The vibe and camaraderie are still great among the group. We continue to work hard both on and off the field,” Burger said.
“We know it’s a huge adaptation now in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship, with all the games we are now playing away from home.
“After the opening two games, we have identified a few areas we can work on improving. All in all, we remain positive in the camp.
“The season is still long, and definitely cannot be decided on the first two matches. There is still a lot to play for.”
The Vodacom Bulls take on Cardiff Rugby at Cardiff Arms Park on Saturday. Kick-off for the game will be at 20h35.
