Q1: How did you get into dancing?
CF: When I was little I saw a group of girls wearing tutus, after a ballet class. I instantly fell in love with the outfits and begged my mom to let me dance as well.
Q2: What style do you enjoy and are there any styles you struggle with?
CF: I enjoy modern, contemporary and jazz the most. Styles I struggle with are hip-hop and latin.
Q3: Talk us through your training sessions?
CF: A typical session will start with a quick warm up to prepare my muscles for work. I then go through any choreography that I need to know and I learn a new piece of choreo, if necessary. I usually end a session with a few stretches and of course I roll out my muscles to prevent them from getting too sore.
Q4: What does it mean to you when you dance on Loftus Versfeld?
CF: It means so much more than I could ever explain. Being on the field means that I have a ‘voice’ although I never really speak. I have the opportunity to show my light and be the person that I always dreamed of being and be a role model for another little girl or even boy.
Q5: What do you do besides from being a Vodacom Bulls Babe?
CF: I am currently still busy with some modern and jazz exams. With that I am in-training to teach jazz and be a pilates instructor.
Q6: Do you believe dance can change the world for the better and if so, why?
CF: Yes, definitely! Dance brings so much joy and in my opinion the world could use more joy and happiness.
