Christmas in March? Christmas has, indeed, come early for rugby lovers as ticket sales open at noon on Wednesday, March 9, for the Springboks’ mid-year Castle Lager Incoming Series opening match against Wales at Loftus Versfeld.
Not only will the Test match on July 2 be a moment in history as the first home match the Springboks will be playing in front of a crowd since claiming the 2019 World Cup, but ticket prices are some of the most affordable for a premier rugby match, ranging from as little as R150 a seat up to only R850 for a prime seat at the historic Loftus Versfeld.
Tickets for the Springboks versus Wales Test match are available on the Ticketpro website (https://www.ticketpros.co.za/)
Blue Bulls Company CEO Edgar Rathbone said: “It is quite appropriate that a historic venue such as Loftus Versfeld will have an opportunity to host the historic match between the Springboks and Wales in the 2022 Castle Lager Incoming Series.
“What an opportunity this will be for fans, who will be the first to watch the reigning world champions for the first time live in South Africa.
“We are excited about hosting the first game and first fans as we slowly return to the new normal, and we look forward to hosting a world-class event. We encourage fans to purchase their tickets early to avoid disappointment.”
