Issued by the Lizo Gqoboka Foundation

We as the Lizo Gqoboka foundation have seen a great need for food during this pandemic. More so because a lot of small businesses which include, street vendors, freelancer gardeners and those seeking work on the streets daily are deemed as non-essential services.

In disadvantaged communities these people survived from money made daily and because of the lockdown there is no source of income and yet the basic need of food remains a necessity.

We have started a campaign to assist in the alleviation of poverty by giving food parcels to disadvantaged communities, because this is a national challenge and we need to unite as a country and help where we can.

We believe that no one should have to worry about where their next meal will come from especially while fighting this pandemic, hence this project.

We will be focusing on two communities in Pretoria, Atteridgeville and Mamelodi Township and three villages in the Eastern Cape; Mvuzi, Mqatyeni and Etwa.

At the moment we have received donations of masks and sanitizers and are in need of more food parcels. A donation of R400 will feed a family of four for a period of three weeks. We humbly request any form of donation and support in helping these communities.

Marketing and sponsor exposure

This campaign will be marketed through various media platforms to reach as many individuals and organizations as possible. Pre, during and post the campaign coverage will ensure that the sponsors receive exposure through:

• Radio
• Television
• Extensive promotion on all social media platforms

The Lizo Gqoboka foundation is a registered non-profit organization with a tax exemption certificate should an organisation request one upon making a donation.
