The Vodacom Bulls have been drawn in a tough pool for next season’s Heineken Champions Cup where they will face French side, Lyon, and English giants, Exeter Chiefs.

The draw for the European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) competitions (Heineken Champions Cup and EPCR Challenge Cup) took place on Tuesday at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin, where the 2022/23 finals will be played.

The Vodacom Bulls will take on Lyon and Exeter Chiefs in home and away fixtures. Dates for the matches will be confirmed.

The side from Tshwane secured a spot in the Heineken Champions Cup after finishing fourth at the conclusion of the round robin stages of the Vodacom United Rugby Championship before going all the way to the final against the DHL Stormers a fortnight ago.

The 2022/23 Heineken Champions Cup season will commence in December with eight weekends with four rounds of matches in the pool stages before the knockout stages consisting of a Round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals and the finals in Dublin in May next year.

The dates for the fixtures, venues and kick-off times will be announced in due course.
